This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and experienced veterinary surgeon to join our client’s RCVS-accredited hospital in Buckinghamshire.
The role is ideally suited to someone with a certificate in ECC, internal medicine, or imaging—or a vet working towards one—who enjoys managing complex medical cases and thrives in a collaborative, well-resourced environment.
Our client’s state-of-the-art hospital acts as the central hub for a network of well-established branches across the region. With a loyal, predominantly insured client base and a high standard of facilities, the practice is well-equipped for thorough diagnostics and advanced patient care. The hospital is purpose-built and fitted with a comprehensive suite of surgical and diagnostic tools to support a wide range of clinical interests.
The successful candidate will be working alongside a friendly and highly experienced team that includes 13 day vets, a dedicated group of night vets and RVNs, lab technicians, kennel assistants, and support staff. The team ethos is one of mutual support and encouragement, where clinical excellence goes hand in hand with personal wellbeing. Round-the-clock care is provided by the in-house night team, ensuring seamless continuity for hospitalised patients and allowing day team members to switch off and recharge.
Whether full-time or part-time, this role offers flexibility for the right individual. The practice is also highly supportive of ongoing development and CPD, with opportunities for career progression and additional training.
Located in Buckinghamshire and surrounded by beautiful countryside, the hospital offers the perfect balance of rural tranquillity and urban accessibility—with London just an hour away by train.
In return, our client offers a competitive salary of £45,000–£75,000 (pro rata), 6.6 weeks’ holiday including bank holidays, £1,750 CPD allowance, and paid RCVS and additional memberships. Other benefits include VDS cover, Health Shield, enhanced family leave, discounted veterinary care, CPD support, sick pay, and access to wellness and lifestyle perks through the My Perks scheme. Regular pay reviews and a strong focus on team engagement complete the package.
