This is a well-structured role within a wider group that values clinical standards, collaboration and sustainable working patterns. The branch works closely with the group's hospital, night and referral teams, allowing continuity of care without placing unrealistic demands on day teams.
This position is based in a busy first-opinion branch clinic, delivering high-quality general practice care within a supportive wider network.
The branch is fully integrated with a dedicated hospital team, an in-house night service providing overnight inpatient and emergency care and an internal referral service supporting advanced-level cases.
This setup allows branch vets to focus on GP work while having reliable backup for complex cases and out-of-hours cover.
The clinic environment is modern, calm and designed to support both patients and clinicians through efficient workflows and a considered consultation experience.
This role would suit a vet who:
- Is MRCVS registered
- Has 2-3+ years' experience in small animal general practice
- Enjoys branch-based GP work within a wider clinical network
- Values teamwork, communication and consistent clinical standards
- Is keen to continue developing skills, with CPD and certificate support available
- Salary: £45,000 - £65,000+ (DOE)
- 4-day working week
- 10-hour shifts between 7:30am-7:30pm
- 1 in 6 weekends and bank holidays, shared equally
- 2 days off in lieu for any weekends worked
- Generously funded CPD, including certificate support
- Standard pension scheme
- 7 weeks annual leave, including bank holidays
- 40% staff discount for personal pets
- Occupational health and wellbeing support, including mental health resources
- Enhanced parental leave and sickness benefits following qualifying service
This is a role within a stable, independent group that offers branch-based clinical autonomy with reliable backup and access to hospital, referral and night teams without carrying OOH, along with clear expectations around rotas and workload.
