Are you ready to feel genuinely valued as an integral part of a veterinary team? Looking for a role where your voice is heard, your development is prioritised, and your career can truly take off?
At Vetmatch, we're proud to be working with a progressive, independent 24-hour hospital in Kent that is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in medicine to join their friendly, highly skilled team.
This is a practice where you won't just be another vet on the rota. You'll be a respected colleague, supported by certificate holders across Surgery, Exotics, Medicine, Endoscopy, Imaging and more. You'll enjoy a genuinely varied and interesting caseload, with the clinical freedom and collaboration that comes from working in a well-established, forward-thinking independent hospital.
The Role
This opportunity would suit a Veterinary Surgeon with at least 2+ years' experience who is confident with routine surgery and has a medicine bias. Certificate holders are welcomed and encouraged, though this is not essential — what matters most is your enthusiasm for delivering excellent patient care and your desire to grow.
Full-time position
  • 40 hours per week across 4 days (or 3 longer days considered)
  • 12-hour shifts
  • 1:4 weekends, with time back in lieu the following week
  • Salary up to £75,000 depending on experience
Clinical Environment
You'll be working in a well-equipped hospital with all the modern diagnostic and surgical facilities you'd expect — and the team regularly reviews equipment, caseload and clinical direction in quarterly meetings to ensure continuous improvement. Investment in both people and resources is taken seriously here.
Development & Progression
CPD is not an afterthought — it's a priority. The practice offers an exceptionally generous CPD allowance, full certificate support, and clear progression pathways. Quarterly reviews are held to ensure your ambitions are heard and actively supported. If you're motivated to advance, you'll be championed every step of the way.
Culture & Team
This is a friendly, fast-paced, and genuinely rewarding environment where team morale is high and collaboration is second nature. The client base is loyal and appreciative, the caseload is stimulating, and the team spirit makes a tangible difference to daily life.
Located in Kent, the area offers fantastic transport links and a great quality of life — whether you're commuting or relocating, you'll be well connected.
Most importantly, this is a practice that truly values its team. Your expertise, compassion and commitment will be recognised and celebrated. If you're looking for a surgery you can feel proud to work for — and a team that feels like home — this could be the perfect next step.
There are exciting developments underway and even more planned for the future. The only thing missing? Another fantastic vet to join them.
If this sounds like the kind of environment where you'd thrive, I'd love to tell you more.
