This well-established Oxfordshire independent veterinary group is looking to add an experienced Small Animal Vet to join its dedicated clinical team. This is a permanent role offering a mix of hospital-based work and branch practice, supported by strong infrastructure, a dedicated night team and a clearly defined career pathway.
The group has an excellent local reputation, a loyal client base and a leadership team made up of practising vets who remain closely involved in day-to-day operations.
You will be based at the group's busy small animal hospital, with some sole-charge work at local branch practices. Rotas are structured to ensure a fair balance across consults, surgery, hospital and ambulatory shifts, all supported by experienced nursing, reception and coordination teams.
  • 15-minute consultations, with flexibility for complex cases and admin
  • Dedicated small animal coordinator supporting diary and workflow
  • Realistic, sustainable rotas
  • Handover to a fully staffed in-house night team, who manage inpatients and emergencies overnight
Clinical protocols are in place to support best practice, while still allowing clinical freedom and individual decision-making. The team values discussion, collaboration and continuous improvement.
With a large and varied caseload, this role offers ongoing exposure to both medical and surgical work, alongside support for developing special interests.
