There's something special about practices that truly sit at the heart of their community, the kind where clients know your name, trust your judgement, and come back year after year because they feel listened to.
This well-established small animal GP clinic in vibrant North London is exactly that and they are looking to welcome a confident, personable veterinary surgeon into a sole charge role that offers autonomy without isolation.
This is a role for a vet who enjoys building relationships, values continuity of care, and is looking for a long-term home rather than a stepping stone.
You'll be leading the day-to-day clinical care of this friendly branch, delivering high-quality first opinion medicine and routine surgery, with a diary that's largely consult-focused and sensibly structured.
While you'll be the sole vet on site, you'll never feel unsupported. You'll work closely with an experienced RVN and have the reassurance of a wider clinical network around you  including nearby practices and a 24-hour hospital for referrals, complex cases, and out-of-hours care.

This role would suit a vet who:
  • Is confident working sole charge and enjoys clinical autonomy
  • Values client relationships and community-focused practice
  • Is happy with first opinion consults and routine surgery
  • Wants stability, balance, and the chance to really make a role their own
The Role:
  • Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 FTE (depending on experience, with clear scope to grow)
  • 4-day week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
  • 1:4 Saturday branch rotation and 1:8 Sunday rotation at a nearby hospital
  • 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays
  • Up to £2,000 CPD budget per year
  • Up to 5 days' paid CPD leave
  • Private medical insurance
  • Relocation support available where applicable
This is an excellent opportunity for a vet who wants clinical freedom, strong backing, and a genuine connection with their clients, all wrapped up in a role that respects life outside of work.
