This well-established, values-led veterinary organisation is offering something genuinely different for a Veterinary Surgeon who wants their work to really matter.
This is a role where clinical quality, teamwork, and compassion sit at the centre of everything and where you're encouraged to practise good medicine while being properly supported as a person, not just a vet.
You'd be joining a nationwide, not-for-profit veterinary service that provides essential care to pets most in need, supporting both animals and the people who love them. Every consult here has a direct, positive impact, and that sense of purpose is something vets often say is incredibly rewarding.
The culture is inclusive, collaborative, and kind. From clinical teams through to support staff and volunteers, everyone works together with a shared commitment to animal welfare and community care.
This is a full-time, permanent Veterinary Surgeon position offering a genuinely varied and interesting caseload. You'll be supported to work confidently across first-opinion consultations, preventive and medical care and soft tissue and more complex surgical cases.
Strong clinical leadership, experienced colleagues, and a multi-disciplinary team environment mean collaboration and shared learning are part of everyday practice.
The hospital environment is modern and well-equipped, including separate dog and cat wards, digital radiography, ultrasound and endoscopy, piped gases and extensive orthopaedic facilities.
There is out-of-hours and weekend involvement, but this is fairly structured, enhanced-paid, and includes proper stand-down time to protect wellbeing.

The Offer
  • Salary: £48,000 - £63,000 (DOE)
  • Annual pay review with structured progression
  • CPD allowance: 1 week + £1,000 per year
  • RCVS fees paid in full
  • Generous holiday allowance that increases with service
  • Additional wellbeing and celebration days
  • Enhanced family-friendly policies
  • Life assurance, employee assistance programme, and health & wellbeing support
  • Discounts on pet care, insurance, and charity services
This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet who wants their work to have real social impact and enjoys clinical variety and teamwork.
