This established independent Berkshire veterinary practice is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join its clinical team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive environment delivering high-quality first-opinion care while developing both medical and surgical skills.
This position combines consultations, surgery and patient management within a busy small animal practice.
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Performing consultations and medical treatment of small animal patients
  • Undertaking routine surgical procedures including neutering and general soft tissue surgery
  • Participating in the emergency and out-of-hours rota
  • Maintaining accurate clinical notes and updating clients on treatment plans and results
  • Supporting and advising nursing and support staff where required
  • Providing clear treatment estimates and maintaining strong client communication
  • Contributing to a collaborative team environment
The practice receives a varied caseload and supports high clinical standards aligned with professional guidelines. Vets work closely with an experienced team of nurses, reception staff and management to ensure efficient workflows and excellent patient care.
The role offers the chance to be involved in both clinical work and team collaboration while maintaining strong relationships with clients.
 
The Role:
  • 4-day working week (8:30am - 6:30pm)
  • 1 late on-call evening per week until 9pm (1pm start on these days)
