This well-established small animal practice in West London is seeking a Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse to help lead and support the nursing and client care teams within a busy first-opinion branch.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RVN ready to step into a leadership role, with structured support and training available for those developing management skills.
You will work alongside an experienced vet and established support team, with additional guidance from a dedicated regional manager.
Out-of-hours support is provided by a nearby 24-hour veterinary hospital with advanced facilities including CT, ultrasound, endoscopy and laparoscopic equipment.
As Senior RVN, responsibilities include:
  • Supporting and coordinating the nursing team to maintain high clinical standards
  • Assisting vets in theatre and consultations
  • Delivering excellent inpatient care and patient welfare
  • Utilising Schedule 3 nursing skills
  • Overseeing equipment maintenance and clinical standards
  • Managing reception operations and ensuring excellent client care
  • Supporting and supervising student nurses
The Role:
  • Salary: £34,000-£39,000 DOE
  • 40-hour week
  • 1 in 3 branch Saturdays and 1 in 10 Sundays at a nearby hospital (time off in lieu)
  • No on-call
  • 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays
  • Annual CPD budget + up to 2 days paid CPD leave
  • Paid 30-minute lunch breaks
  • Private healthcare scheme (reduced rate)
  • Medical cashback incentives
Leadership experience is desirable but not essential, as formal in-house leadership training is available.
This role would suit a confident RVN who enjoys both clinical nursing and supporting a team, and who is looking to take the next step in their career within a well-supported and collaborative practice environment.
