Are you a proactive and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon who thrives in the consult room and is looking for an exciting opportunity in Kent?
At Vetmatch, we are delighted to be working with our client, an independent, vet-led group, to find a consult-focused Veterinary Surgeon who brings clinical confidence, warmth and a genuine passion for patient care. This is a role designed for someone who enjoys building relationships with clients, managing cases thoughtfully and being part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team.
You'll be fully supported by an experienced management team alongside a strong network of Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs and support colleagues. Our client has created an environment where you are never on your own with decision-making. Across the wider group, there are numerous certificate holders with interests in soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, neurology, dermatology, exotics and oncology, all available for case discussion and clinical guidance. It's a genuinely collegiate culture where knowledge is shared and development is encouraged.
If you have a particular area of interest, our client is very happy to invest in it. Whether that means new equipment to support your clinical standards or funding towards a certificate, they are passionate about helping their vets progress. As a vet-led organisation, the founders are deeply committed to creating real career opportunities within their teams. Enhanced CPD packages and certificate funding are actively supported, not just discussed.
Understanding the challenges that can arise in the consult room, the group also offers zero percent finance plans across their practices, helping you navigate those more difficult conversations with clients and ensuring that clinical decisions can remain focused on delivering the best possible care.
This is a full-time position with a strong emphasis on work-life balance. You'll benefit from a standard four-day working week and a 1 in 5 weekend rota, allowing you to maintain a sustainable and enjoyable career in practice.
In return, you can expect a salary of up to £60,000 depending on experience, a £2,000 CPD allowance or certificate funding, 5.6 weeks annual leave, a Perkbox subscription, a dental and health cashback scheme, and clear clinical progression pathways through both CPD and internal opportunities.
