This full-time position is based on a four-day week with a fixed day off, and just 1 in 5 Saturday mornings (8:30am–12pm). Every fifth week includes a Friday off too, giving you a long weekend to rest or explore the local area. There are no Sundays, nights, or bank holidays, thanks to full out-of-hours cover provided by Vets Now in Eastbourne and Tunbridge Wells. Part-time options are absolutely on the table, and the team is more than happy to tailor the rota for the right person.
The day is structured to support you—there’s built-in time for admin, catch-ups, and lunch, so you’re not constantly chasing your tail. The working culture is calm, kind, and quietly ambitious. You'll be encouraged to manage your own cases, explore your interests, and develop your skills—whether that’s pursuing a certificate, upskilling in-house, or simply having the freedom to work up your cases properly without immediate referral.
Support is a real strength here. The team includes a VetGDP advisor with years of mentoring experience, and if you’re a new graduate, there’s the option to enrol on the a New Graduate Scheme for additional structure and guidance in your first years in practice.
Outside the clinic, this is a close-knit, friendly bunch who genuinely enjoy spending time together. London is just over an hour away, making this a great location whether you're local or relocating.
The package includes:
- Salary between £35,000 and £70,000 depending on experience
