We are delighted to be working with a long-established and highly trusted veterinary practice in one of South West London’s most picturesque and historically rich locations.
If you’re a confident, capable vet ready to lead a close-knit team and make a meaningful impact, this role offers the perfect blend of autonomy, support, and lifestyle.
This is a fantastic role in a beautifully restored period building – ideal for an experienced veterinary surgeon who relishes the chance to take ownership of their clinic, while still having strong clinical and operational support every step of the way.
The role offers:
  • Salary between £57,000 – £73,000 FTE, depending on experience and room for progression
  • 6.6 weeks of annual leave, including bank holidays
  • Generous CPD budget and 5 paid CPD days annually
  • Private medical insurance and medical cashback plan (including optical, dental, physio)
  • Paid lunch breaks, wellness support, and mental health first aid-trained leadership
  • Relocation assistance available for candidates considering a move
  • Professional fees covered, generous shopping and colleague discounts, and Petplan discount
Though technically sole-charge, you’ll never feel isolated. You’ll be supported by a brilliant RVN and a passionate trainee nurse, with your regional manager offering consistent operational guidance. Additionally, the regional head vet is available for clinical mentorship and support — ensuring you're never without backup when you need it.
This role also offers clear potential for clinical progression, leadership, and future development within a wider supportive network that genuinely invests in its vets.
The Rota:
  • 4-day working week for great work-life balance
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays at the branch
  • 1 in 10 Sundays at the 24-hour hospital
  • Up to 2 Bank Holidays per year, shared across the hospital network
The practice is located in a beautiful town with its riverside charm, vibrant market town energy, and elegant Victorian architecture, it’s a joy to both work and live in. The practice is in close to public transport hubs, meaning you can be in central London in just 20 minutes.
If you’re a confident, motivated vet ready to lead with clinical freedom, receive strong support, and enjoy one of London’s most enviable locations – this role could be your perfect next chapter.
