This purpose-led veterinary hospital in Kent is looking for a passionate, adaptable RVN who wants their skills to mean something not just clinically, but socially too.
The organisation exists to keep pets and their people together during the toughest times. For over a century, they have provided essential care to those who might otherwise go without and now they're evolving, expanding, and strengthening their impact for the future.
This is a varied, hands-on hospital role where no two days look the same. You'll be involved across all areas of nursing, including nurse consultations, inpatient care and patient monitoring, dispensing and client communication, theatre support, including Schedule 3 surgery and supporting clinical flow within a busy hospital setting.
You'll need to be confident, resilient, and emotionally intelligent. The caseload can be complex, and clients may be navigating difficult circumstances so communication skills and empathy are just as important as your clinical ability.
This is a collaborative hospital environment where case discussion is encouraged and learning is shared openly. The team has varied clinical interests, so you'll be surrounded by people who genuinely enjoy discussing cases and developing their knowledge.
The hospital itself is modern and well-equipped, including separate dog and cat wards, in-house radiography, ultrasound and endoscopy, piped gases and extensive orthopaedic equipment.
You'll have the tools and support you need to deliver excellent standards of care.
The Role:
- Salary: £26,655 - £31,027 (DOE)
- 40 hours per week
- 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
- £500 CPD allowance + 3 days CPD leave
- Full RCVS fees paid
- Access to extensive internal CPD programmes
- Discounts for major veterinary congress events
- 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays (with buy/sell option)
- Three additional paid days annually (volunteering, celebration & wellbeing)
- Generous pension contributions (5-10%)
- Life assurance (4x salary)
- 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme
- Retail and lifestyle discount platform
- Enhanced family leave
- Staff veterinary services and pet insurance discount
It's a 12-month fixed-term contract, but for the right nurse, it offers meaningful experience, strong clinical exposure, and the opportunity to contribute to something bigger than day-to-day general practice.
