Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon seeking a role that will challenge and inspire you, while also giving you the support and resources to grow further?
We are working with a well-established, family-run 24/7 veterinary hospital in West Yorkshire, where an exciting opportunity has opened up for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join their dynamic team.
This is no ordinary first-opinion position. With a diverse caseload ranging from complex ECC to advanced medicine and surgery, you'll be part of a 70-strong, multi-disciplinary team — including certificate holders in Surgery, Medicine, and Dentistry — who collaborate closely to deliver exceptional care.

The Role:
  • A four-day rota mixing surgery, consultations, and inpatient shifts
  • ECC exposure - 1 in 4 weekends, 10-hour shifts, with no sole charge — ideal if you thrive on emergency and critical care but want strong team support
  • Advanced procedures from oesophageal tube placements and chest drains, to laparoscopy, endoscopy, and transfusion medicine
  • Great CPD allowance, with full support for certificate study and specialist development, including ophthalmology
  • Collegiate culture - 15 vets working side by side, sharing knowledge, and driving continuous learning through proactive in-house CPD
This role is designed for a confident, UK-experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is ready to take the next step in their career. You'll be comfortable managing a busy caseload, making clinical decisions, and contributing to the hospital's reputation for excellence. This is not a training role — it's a chance for an experienced vet to immerse themselves in a stimulating, supportive hospital environment where your expertise will truly make an impact.

The offer:
  • Competitive salary (DOE)
  • 4-day week with a sustainable rota structure
  • 1 in 4 weekends, no sole charge
  • £1,500 CPD allowance + certificate sponsorship
  • Access to state-of-the-art facilities including CT, advanced ultrasound, laparoscopy, endoscopy, and more
  • Opportunity to carve out a niche in ophthalmology and grow referral services
  • A team culture that values collaboration, wellbeing, and long-term development
This is a chance to be part of a forward-thinking hospital where your skills are celebrated, your development supported, and your career taken seriously.
