Looking to scale back your hours without stepping back in your career? Whether you're returning to practice, balancing family life, or simply seeking a better rhythm, this opportunity offers the clinical fulfilment you love—without the long days or weekend strain.
We’re thrilled to be supporting a small, welcoming RCVS-accredited practice in the heart of Cheshire, just a stone’s throw from the Peak District and a short train ride to Manchester. This is a role for an experienced small animal vet (2+ years) who thrives in sole-charge and is ready to bring their calm, confident approach to a practice that’s all about care—not quotas.
What’s on Offer:
Truly flexible rota – Whether you’re after two mornings a week (e.g. 9am–2pm) or a tailored pattern that works around you, the team here is open to making it work. It’s a genuine 0.25 FTE with your time respected.
No weekends, no OOH – That’s right. Your evenings and weekends are protected, with out-of-hours covered by a local hospital.
A team that feels like family – You’ll join a tight-knit crew: 1 experienced vet, 3 RVNs, and a fantastic receptionist. It's a supportive environment where everyone plays to their strengths.
Purpose-built premises – Two bright consulting rooms, a well-equipped theatre, digital x-ray and ample time to work up cases thoroughly with full client engagement.
Wellbeing-first culture – With generous CPD funding (certificates encouraged), Healthshield, enhanced parental leave, holiday buy/sell, and cycle to work schemes, this practice knows that looking after vets means more than just offering a paycheque.
Competitive salary – Reflective of your experience and contribution, with a commitment to regular review.
The Ideal Vet?
You’re confident with routine first opinion consults and surgery and comfortable handling sole charge. Most importantly, you’re someone who believes in building trusted client relationships and being part of a team that takes pride in doing things well.
