Are you ready to join a genuinely supportive practice where collaboration, clinical excellence, and wellbeing go hand in hand?
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate vet to become part of their close-knit team.
Here, you won't just be another cog in the machine—you'll be valued for your ideas, trusted with autonomy, and encouraged to grow in the areas that excite you. The team prides itself on sharing knowledge and supporting each other to maintain and develop a broad range of medical and surgical skills.
You'll enjoy access to excellent diagnostic tools including digital (standard and dental) x-ray, ultrasound, video-endoscopy, and an in-house lab. This means you can work cases up properly and offer clients real choice in how their pets are treated.
The right candidate will join a friendly group of vets supported by five fantastic RVNs, student nurses, an animal care assistant, and a wonderful front-of-house team. Together, they've created a practice that's proudly RCVS-accredited, Gold Compassionate Understood, and Gold Standard Cat Friendly.
Appointments are 15 minutes, giving you the breathing space to do your best work and build strong, lasting client relationships.
The practice covers its own out-of-hours on a 1:4 rota - but don't let that put you off. With a small, supportive team and consistent, set days, the workload is manageable, financially rewarded, and flexible when swaps are needed. You'll still have plenty of time to enjoy everything on your doorstep—from the Lake District just 15 miles away, to the Scottish Borders only 8 miles north.

What's on Offer
  • Salary between £40,000 - £60,000 FTE (depending on experience and hours)
  • 6 weeks holiday including bank holidays
  • £1750 CPD allowance + 5 days, with full support up to certificate level
  • Health Shield wellbeing package (from dentistry to sports massage)
  • RCVS, VDS + 2 additional memberships covered
  • Enhanced parental leave, sick pay & annual pay reviews
  • Staff discounts + "My Perks" shopping & travel rewards
  • Skilled Worker visa sponsorship available
  • Genuine career progression pathways
This role would suit a vet with at least some post-graduate experience and confidence with routine consults and surgery. Above all, you'll be a team player, an empathetic communicator, and someone who enjoys building lasting relationships with clients. Whether you're looking to deepen your skills or work towards a certificate, your development will be fully supported.
If you're looking for a practice where you'll be listened to, supported, and given the chance to thrive both professionally and personally—this could be your perfect match
