Working alongside a highly skilled tea of 14 vets the right candidate will benefit from an ethos of clinical support and team across all departments. This state of the art hospital has offers mentorship to all veterinary surgeons and VetGDP support to all involved in the scheme.
This fantastic role includes a mixture of consulting , case workup and surgery. This team are actively encouraged to develop, with the provision of training, easily accessed support and clinical guidance. There is a superb team of nurses including 16 RVNS, many of whom have additional post grad qualifications. You will also benefit from dedicated receptionist support, many of whom hold BVRA and Customer Service qualifications.
The right candidate will jump at the chance to work with a team that have a wealth of experience. The hospital currently has certificate holders/Advanced Practitioners in Surgery, Imaging, Dermatology, Medicine and Cardiology. They also have highly motivated clients, and a claim direct facility is commonly used, supporting access to healthcare for all.
The standard rota benefits from a four day working week, with 1:4 weekends. OOH run Mon-Fri 5pm – Midnight, with on call until 8am for in patients only. The OOH rota is 1:7 currently. Holidays include 5 weeks standard holiday plus bank holiday entitlement, plus an additional buy and sell scheme.
