Are you a people-person with a passion for pets? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join a friendly and highly respected Central London veterinary practice.
As the welcoming face of the clinic, you'll be the first point of contact for clients - greeting pets with a smile (and a well-deserved fuss!) while providing outstanding service and support to their owners.
The role consists of 40 hours per week with 1 in 3 weekends (TOIL given for weekends worked), working in a vibrant, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You will be working with a supportive, close-knit team of vets, nurses, and support staff who truly value their reception team. This is a chance to be part of a practice that prides itself on both clinical excellence and genuine client care.

The Day to Day:
  • Welcoming clients and pets to the practice with warmth and professionalism
  • Scheduling appointments, managing arrivals, and coordinating follow-ups
  • Helping clients with healthcare plans and treatment queries
  • Processing payments and finance applications
  • Liaising with the clinical team to support smooth patient care
  • Managing a busy reception desk, phone calls, emails, and even social media pages
  • Keeping records up to date and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks
About You:
  • Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist (or in a similar client-facing role in healthcare)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills - you thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A genuine love of animals and a warm, professional approach with clients
  • IT literacy is essential, and experience with RxWorks would be a big advantage
This is the perfect opportunity if you're looking for a rewarding role in a practice where people and pets are at the heart of everything, working with a supportive team where your role is valued.
