In the heart of East Yorkshire, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a warm and supportive team within an RCVS accredited practice.
With two welcoming sites, one rural and one urban—city life and rural charm are both possible. The practice is proud to be accredited to General Practice standard for Small Animal, Farm and Equine, as well as being an ISFM Silver accredited cat friendly clinic, reflecting its commitment to the highest standards of patient care.
This is a role where nurses are truly valued, and your skills will be utilised to their full potential. The practice runs regular nurse clinics, encourages schedule 3 procedures where you feel confident, and offers a varied caseload so you can enjoy a fulfilling mix of theatre, inpatient care, consulting, and circulating responsibilities.
The rota ensures variety and balance, helping you to find genuine job satisfaction. Training and mentoring are key priorities, and career aspirations are actively encouraged, with the practice proudly serving as a Veterinary Nurse training centre at both sites.
The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering outstanding pet care and excellent client service, with the opportunity to grow professionally in a supportive and nurturing environment. While the nursing team currently focuses on small animal care, there may also be the chance to assist on the large animal side for those who are interested.
The role is full time, based on 37.5 hours per week, with shifts between 8 am and 7 pm Monday to Friday. Weekends are on a fair 1 in 7 rota, with Saturdays running 8 am to 4 pm and Sundays 9 am to 4 pm. A day off in lieu is provided, and Sunday hours are paid as overtime. With no out-of-hours, as this is covered by Vets Now, you'll be able to enjoy the work-life balance that so many veterinary professionals are looking for.
In return, you will be offered a salary of up to £28,000 depending on experience, alongside a generous package including 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, funded CPD (including up to certificate level), paid RCVS and VDS fees, and an additional membership of your choice covered. The practice also offers enhanced family leave, pension, Healthshield, discounted veterinary care, a cycle-to-work scheme, and more—demonstrating a genuine investment in the wellbeing and future of its team.
This is a rare chance to join a close-knit practice that values its nurses, supports career growth, and places wellbeing at the heart of what it does.
