This highly respected, family-run 24-hour veterinary hospital in West Yorkshire is seeking a small animal vet to join their friendly and progressive clinical team on a part-time basis. This opportunity would suit a vet with solid GP experience who enjoys emergency and inpatient care, and who's looking for a role where development and flexibility are genuinely encouraged.
This is the ideal position for someone wanting to work interesting medical and surgical cases within a supportive hospital setting, without the pressure of sole charge or an unsustainable rota.
This RCVS-accredited hospital combines the best parts of first opinion and hospital medicine. Alongside a thriving GP caseload, the practice also provides emergency and out-of-hours support to multiple local clinics, giving vets access to a diverse and rewarding caseload with excellent continuity of care.
The practice has invested heavily in both its facilities and its people. A recent expansion has significantly increased clinical space, improved flexibility for the team, and created even more opportunities for progression and in-house learning.
You'll be surrounded by colleagues who genuinely enjoy sharing knowledge and supporting one another, with certificate holders across surgery, medicine, and dentistry already in the team. There is also genuine scope to develop personal interests, including the potential to build niche clinics and services within the practice.
The leadership team has worked hard to create a supportive, down-to-earth culture where wellbeing matters just as much as clinical standards. The practice has dedicated mental health support in place, collaborative communication channels for case discussion, a strong mentorship culture and a team environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
The Offer:
- Salary up to £36,000 (£60,000 FTE) (DOE)
- Rota: Wednesday: 9am - 6pm, Thursday: 9am - 8pm and 1:4 weekends
- No sole charge
- Generous CPD allowance
- Certificate support and sponsorship encouraged
- Paid memberships (RCVS, VDS, BSAVA)
- Contributory pension scheme
- Free onsite parking
- Employee discounts and rewards
- Supportive hospital environment with advanced facilities
Consult appointments are scheduled thoughtfully, with 30-minute sick pet consultations as standard, allowing vets the time to work cases up properly and provide high-quality patient care without feeling rushed.
If you're looking for a role where you can continue growing clinically while being part of a genuinely caring and ambitious team, this could be the ideal opportunity.
