This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet who thrives on variety, enjoys a high caseload, and values being part of a collaborative, highly supportive clinical team and would be excited to be part of one of London’s largest and most advanced ECC settings. Experience or a strong interest in emergency and critical care, along with ultrasonography, would be particularly beneficial given the nature of the caseload.
The role is a full time position but part-time (3 days pw) would also be considered. For those looking for additional hours, there may be flexibility to pick up shifts within nearby branch practices.
This role would suit a confident GP vet who is comfortable with routine procedures such as bitch spays and dentals, and who can manage emergency presentations with composure. It’s also an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for diagnostic imaging, whether you’re looking to utilise existing skills or further develop in this area.
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll play an integral role within the hospital team, contributing to both clinical excellence and a positive working environment. Responsibilities will include:
- Delivering a consistently high standard of evidence-based clinical care
- Participating in a varied rota including consulting, surgery, wards, and ECC
- Managing cases from presentation through to diagnosis and treatment planning
- Performing routine surgeries within your level of competence
- Utilising diagnostic tools such as imaging and laboratory testing effectively
- Maintaining compliance with professional and regulatory standards
- Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients
- Working independently when required, while recognising when to seek support
- Contributing to a collaborative, supportive team culture
There is a strong leadership and support structure in place, including senior clinicians, experienced nursing leadership, and a well-established management team. This ensures you always have access to guidance, mentorship, and clinical support when needed.
The hospital itself is exceptionally well-equipped, offering access to advanced diagnostic tools including CT, an on-site laboratory, and a highly skilled surgical team performing a wide range of procedures. This creates an environment where clinical standards are high, and development opportunities are genuinely encouraged.
The Role:
- Salary: £45,000 to £72,000 (DOE)
- Full-time (40 hours pw) with 1:3 Saturdays and 1:6 Sundays
- Part time (30 hours pw) available
- 6-week rolling rota
- 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays (pro rata)
- Private medical insurance
- Generous CPD allowance with paid CPD days
- Support for ongoing development and clinical interests
- Relocation support where applicable
