Are you ready to step into a truly next-generation veterinary environment—one that's been designed from the ground up with clinical excellence, innovation, and team wellbeing at its core?
We're working with a forward-thinking veterinary group launching a brand-new, purpose-built 24-hour hospital in Central London. This is a rare opportunity to join from day one, helping shape both the clinical standards and the culture of something genuinely special.
This isn't just another role. It's a chance to be part of a state-of-the-art hospital built with intention, investment, and a clear long-term vision.
Why this opportunity stands out
This hospital has been designed to reflect what modern veterinary care should look like.
Across three floors and 4,500 sq ft, every detail has been considered to support gold-standard patient care and a seamless clinical workflow. You'll be working in an environment that feels progressive, well-equipped, and genuinely exciting to walk into every day.
Facilities include four consult rooms, two fully equipped operating theatres, a dedicated dental suite, full in-house laboratory, CT scanner and advanced imaging, hydrotherapy and physiotherapy services, and separate dog and cat wards to optimise patient care.
Equipment includes ventilators, advanced anaesthesia machines, uMEC12 monitoring systems, ultrasound, IMV X-ray, and laparoscopic and endoscopy equipment.
This is a hospital built not just to function, but to elevate clinical standards and empower vets to do their best work.
The role
We're looking for either a confident Veterinary Surgeon with at least two years' UK experience, or a Lead Vet with five or more years' experience who is ready to step into a more influential position.
You will play a key role within a collaborative, highly skilled team, contributing to both the clinical direction and the day-to-day patient journey.
Depending on your experience and ambition, there is scope to develop or lead in your area of clinical interest, influence clinical standards and protocols, support and mentor colleagues, and help shape the culture of a brand-new hospital environment.
The rota is structured as a five-day week with eight-hour days, one in three weekends, and time off in lieu to ensure balance is maintained.
The ethos and culture
What really sets this opportunity apart is the mindset behind the hospital.
This is a team that believes great veterinary care starts with supported, valued clinicians. Collaboration is prioritised over hierarchy, and clinical freedom and development are actively encouraged. Work-life balance is built into how the hospital operates, not treated as an afterthought.
You will be part of a team that is passionate about delivering high standards of care while also creating a positive, sustainable, and enjoyable working environment.
What's on offer
Salary will be discussed at interview and is highly competitive. There are genuine progression opportunities as the hospital grows, access to advanced equipment and a varied caseload, and the chance to be part of something from the very beginning within a supportive, forward-thinking team.
A Vetmatch perspective
At Vetmatch, we take the time to understand what really matters to you, from clinical progression to work-life balance and team culture. This role is particularly well suited to a vet who wants to be part of a modern, purpose-driven environment where they can grow, feel supported, and make a meaningful impact.
If this sounds like the kind of move you've been waiting for, I'd love to tell you more.
