We're supporting a truly special opportunity within an independent, multidisciplinary referral centre in the South East, known for its collaborative culture and commitment to exceptional patient care.
This is a fantastic role for an experienced Ophthalmologist—particularly a Diplomate—who is looking to take the next step into a leadership position within a well-established and highly respected service.
You'll be joining a friendly, close-knit ophthalmology team with strong clinical support, working alongside multiple specialists across disciplines including Anaesthesia, Cardiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, ECC, and Surgery. The environment is genuinely team-focused, with a shared goal of delivering the highest standards of care while supporting one another.
The practice is very well equipped, offering access to advanced ophthalmology diagnostics and surgical facilities, allowing you to work cases up to a high level within a supportive, specialist-led setting.
What stands out here is the culture—this is an independent hospital that places real emphasis on kindness, collaboration, and professional fulfilment. There's a strong focus on wellbeing, development, and giving clinicians the space to grow, both clinically and as leaders.
The role
Full-time is four days per week, though part-time options can absolutely be considered for the right person. There is a shared on-call rota (approximately 1 in 4 weekends), with excellent support from residents, interns, and an experienced nursing team.
You'll ideally be a Diplomate or residency-trained, board-eligible Ophthalmologist, with a genuine passion for patient care and teamwork. Just as important is your attitude—someone who enjoys mentoring others, contributes positively to team culture, and is motivated to help shape and develop the service.
What's on offer
A competitive salary and benefits package, including generous holiday allowance, CPD support, and private medical insurance, alongside the opportunity to work in a progressive, independent environment where your voice is heard.
If you're looking for a role where you can combine clinical excellence with leadership development—within a genuinely supportive and forward-thinking team—this could be a brilliant next step.
