Are you an experienced veterinary surgeon ready to step into something genuinely exciting—something you can shape, influence, and grow?
We're working with a highly progressive and expanding group of practices across London, now opening the doors to a brand-new, purpose-built site in South East London. This is a rare opportunity to join at the very beginning—taking on a Lead Veterinary Surgeon position with real autonomy, clinical influence, and long-term progression.
Why this role stands out
This isn't just another GP role. It's a chance to be part of something being built properly—with intention, investment, and a clear vision for the future.
You'll be joining a network of excellent, well-supported practices across London, where collaboration, clinical standards, and team wellbeing are genuinely prioritised. The group is known for its modern, forward-thinking approach, combining high-quality first opinion care with strong leadership and development pathways.
The Role
As Lead Vet, you'll play a central role in shaping the clinical direction and culture of this new practice. You'll work closely with a small, skilled team while being supported by the wider London group.
- Lead and inspire a team of 2 vets and 3 experienced RVNs
- Deliver high-quality GP care with the opportunity to utilise your area of clinical interest
- Influence clinical standards, workflows, and team development
- Option to step into a Head Vet capacity depending on your ambitions
The Practice
- Brand-new, purpose-built across two floors
- Three consult rooms and fully equipped with the latest technology
- Designed to create a smooth, efficient clinical flow and a positive working environment
- Excellent transport links—easily accessible via train and underground
- Salary well above market expectations, with regular and meaningful pay reviews
- 5 days per week (8-hour shifts)
- 1 in 3 weekends with time off in lieu
- A benefits package designed to support both your professional growth and personal wellbeing
We're looking for a vet who:
- Has 5+ years' experience in small animal practice
- Is confident in GP and has developed (or is developing) an area of clinical interest
- Enjoys mentoring and supporting others
- Is motivated by the idea of building something and being part of a progressive, collaborative culture
If you've been feeling like your current role lacks progression, autonomy, or energy—this could be the reset you've been looking for.
This is a chance to:
- Step into leadership without sacrificing support
- Be part of a growing, respected London group doing things differently
- Help shape a practice from day one
- Work in an environment that genuinely values its people and their development
