Are you an experienced vet who enjoys mentoring others, driving clinical standards, and still loves being hands-on?
This modern, forward-thinking independent Lincolnshire practice is searching for a Head Vet to join and lead their established, friendly team. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to take ownership of clinical direction, influence the growth of services, and help shape a culture centred around high-quality, evidence-based care.

You'll play a central role within the practice, working closely with the wider management team to:
  • Drive continuous improvement in clinical standards and patient care
  • Support and mentor colleagues, helping them grow in confidence and capability
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the practice
  • Foster a collaborative, positive team culture where everyone feels valued
There's a real emphasis here on coaching rather than hierarchy. This is about bringing people with you, not managing from above.
You'll be joining a purpose-built, well-equipped practice designed to support excellent clinical outcomes and a smooth day-to-day workflow. The environment is modern, spacious, and set up to allow you to focus on doing your best work.
The team itself is a big part of what makes this role. They are friendly, down-to-earth, and genuinely supportive. Many are developing their clinical interests, with ongoing investment in certificates and CPD, creating a culture of continuous learning and shared progression.
There's also a strong sense of community and personality within the team, with regular social initiatives and a shared passion for both patient care and making work an enjoyable place to be.

The Offer:
Alongside a competitive and flexible salary (dependent on experience), you'll benefit from a well-rounded package that supports both your professional growth and personal wellbeing:
  • Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 (DOE)
  • 4-day working week with 1:4 weekends
  • No OOH and on-call only for your own inpatients
  • Generous CPD allowance, with support for further qualifications
  • Funded professional memberships
  • Internal leadership development and training
  • Enhanced family-friendly policies
  • Income protection
  • Health and wellbeing support
  • A range of lifestyle benefits and discounts
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
This is a chance to genuinely influence how a practice evolves, while being supported by a wider network that values clinical excellence, team wellbeing, and long-term development.
